What do you guys think should qbs be judged by the number of great teams they lead to win it all? Or are we putting to much emphasis on winning in the ultimate team game ? What's your guys opinions and thoughts ?

I don't think you can judge a persons work only off of their accomplishments. You have to look at an entire body of work. Does winning multiple rings take you to the next level? Absolutely. But plenty of amazing QB's have came through the league and never got to lift the Lombardi. Marino, Kelly, Moon, Esiason, Cunningham. All these guys were tremendous Qb's, and Hall of Famers but never won a ring.

No, a ring is a statement to a team, not an individual. Like Red said a lot of great QBs have never gotten a ring. I don't believe it should be entirely discounted, but nor should it be a basis on who is a great QB or not.

And who are the best QBs of the superbowl era, in your eyes?

No, rings have more to do with the team 4-sure! A lot of guys like Marino n Moon didnt win a SB, but not because of them, but because of coaching and upper management! I never saw this as clearly til I got a bit wiser. You cant win, no matter how good you are in football unless everything from the top level down is in sync. Both Moon n Marino should have won at least 1 ring but the organization as a whole was flawed and coaching wasnt good enough to overcome where the team was lacking! Coaching is the most important aspect of football!
