Via The VergeAs the quote says, we already knew 10 was coming this summer. HOWEVER, this lines up EXACTLY with what the OS post said. Taking into account that it's been believed that JMF would help launch W10 and cross platform gaming, I would call this another checkmark for the OS post. Dates are starting to fall into place, and those are always the most telling parts of "leaks". I still will use heavy salt on the rest of the items from the OS post but to me, this sure helps his case. Forever getting closer and closer.

Thank God I found this forum link from a retweet by one of jmf community members/fans, 'cos I needed a good place to talk about this game ('cos you know a certain other popular forum has banned all mentions of JMF16, stubbornly).
Anyway, yeah I usually go on N4G, and over the past week or so the site has been posting/linking to Microsoft-specific articles that talk about E3... and some of the headlines have been about Microsoft really focusing on their first-party publishing and developing/putting out new games/IPs... I believe there was one article with a Phil Spencer(sp?) quote where talks about possible "big surprises" at their E3 conference. I can't wait, and there were some loose ties to W10 OS/platform being involved at their E3 conference somehow.
And if the whole thing about W10 and Xbox One cross play is true, then I would agree that it would make sense for Microsoft to release JMF16 on the launch date of W10 along with its console release as well, jointly.
Just my opinion. I apologize for the spelling or grammar errors, as I'm typing from my phone.

Like RedDeadRiot said, take this with copious amounts of salt. This was an easy piece of info for "the post" to be correct on. Even if Microsoft pushed the launch back, it couldn't really discredit "the post" because delays happen all the time.
Anyway, I have a friend that works for the Microsoft store in Times Square who has been testing W10 since January and he says that it's pretty nice. I pressed him for info on JM16 and he says he hasn't heard anything about a game being with MS.

No question. And I agree, take everything with a grain of salt. But at the same time everyone should keep digging for more info, no matter how obscure... if for anything, just for the pure fun of it until we get to E3. And we all have to continue to stay level-headed, and not treat every bit of info as fact. Speculation and discussion is good and healthy though. I like to think you, me, and almost everyone else who are supporting this game have all done that extremely well over the past few months on here, twitter, etc. It's been very enjoyable to say the least (watching all of the community made YouTube vids, reading these forums posts, etc.) Interesting info about your friend. Hmm. Definitely keeps all the info and speculation leveled out. At the end of the day, we just don't know for certain. Heck, we don't even know the platforms yet even though we all have a good guess on what it could be on by now. But we all rely on one another to keep this community and info-sharing going, which is great imo. Let's keep it up! This is going to be the longest 15 days ever lol.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying you shouldn't keep looking and speculating. Just saying that this doesn't verify anything, really. Good to know a date for W10, though. Even if no JM16 shows up, the ideas for the platform are pretty huge.

Already "reserved" my copy. I'm on 8.1 so I get the free upgrade.

I'm on Windows 7, which I REALLY like. My laptop is Windows 8, which I REALLY hate. I definitely plan on upgrading my laptop. We'll see about my desktop. If JM16 comes out and requires W10, I'll definitely upgrage. My MS friend tells me that all his games work with W10, so there shouldn't be much to worry about there.

The OS post was BS. First off, if the game was licensed by the NFL, it would make ZERO sense. The NFL is not going to compete with their own game. Microsoft being involved with an NFL licensed game is also BS. They are not going to risk their relationship with EA who provides a large portion of the games for their console. If by some miracle, it IS a licensed game, it CAN'T come out earlier than Madden, which releases at the end of August. The NFL employs this rule with ALL of their products so as not to create price wars between licensed products. This is what lead to the exclusive deal to begin with. There is no proof at all that MS is even involved with the game. In fact, we don't even know if this game is going to be released at all. I'm hoping for the best.

I am not saying you are wrong by any means but why would Joe Montana Tweet this-"WOW I forgot how beautiful Seattle is when the sun is out! Never been on Microsoft campus before, this place is HUGE!" The guy barely posts anything. We will find out anyway in a few days.

It is entirely possible that Microsoft is involved with some technology that he is also involved in. I found myself twisting these things into something I wanted to believe as well, but in reality, it's not looking good. There were 1000 reasons he could have been at Microsoft. There is no way a game like this that is associated with Microsoft would be kept this secret with NO one basically seeing it for this long. Microsoft does this with nothing, so why would they do it with an unlicensed football game? My belief is that this is simply a small startup, indie development team biting off more than they can chew and basically not even getting their game to market. I can now understand why people were saying this game may not even exist. I believe it exists, however, I no longer believe we will ever see it. I hope I'm wrong. That being said, it doesn't change how I feel towards Damon and his team. I applaud their effort and passion because Tiburon sure does not have it. I think it is time to accept that football gaming is gone for good and Madden is all there is. It's hot garbage, and anyone who denies that is just trying to fool themselves. They ruined football gaming.

Also, if you're Microsoft, and you're publishing the first non-Madden football game in 4 years or so, and you have Joe Montana behind it, there's no possibility that you would keep your association with it secret until E3? That's never happened to any game/publisher ever? I think it's interesting to now think that we may not see this game when literally nothing has changed and the course has stayed the same this whole time. Again, folks. Let's wait until after E3 until we start the doubts

First off Madden is not THE NFL's game. The NFL is not competing with anything. If another game has the license that's more money for them. There have been no details on the newest license agreement between the NFL and EA sports. Do you really think EA would not make games on XB1 just because they are making a football game. EA would loose money. Not sure why a game can't release earlier than Madden. Do you have a source for that or any proof. If I remember correctly Madden used to release earlier, but they pushed it back themselves. It seems like your reaches for why the game is fake, are stretching further than the things that make us think that this game is legit. Also absolutely no one has denied this game. No one. No one has confirmed either, but if this was fake I am pretty sure that Microsoft or Damon or Joe would have said this was not true.

Eh, EA pays a premium for exclusivity, hard to say that equals more money for the NFL by having multiple licensors. This arrangement obviously works well for them or it would not continue. If they could get more money by having more players in the video game space then they'd do it.
lol, giantblue is a pretty logical and vocal supporter of competition and not a big Madden guy, but as soon as someone goes against the grain it's like there's blood in the water. Some of you need to take a step back and look at the big picture I think.
