In an effort to keep the boards clutter free, keep all discussion pertaining to E3 in this thread!
Will update this post with updates as they come in!
UPDATE 1: The game was not shown at Microsofts press conference, however Damon DID confirm that something will come out at somepoint today!
UPDATE 2: Damon has his first live interview at 11:30 AM PST on 6/16.
UPDATE 3: Go to joemontanafootball.com to enter your E-Mail so you can "receive alpha release updates". This lets us know that the game is still in the Alpha stages and not finished. Also, superstar games now has a website live at superstargames.co
UPDATE4: Damon has completed his first interview with the folks at the Unreal Engine. The video will be uploaded at some point on 6/17. Does NOT mean that we won't get anything today.UPDATE 5: Yesterday, Damon had an interview with 1080 Players in which he revealed a few subtle details. The game will most likely have stadium customization, customizable rosters (there is no NFL license), and a my career type game mode. He also mentions that the game has been in development for a little over a year. Throughout the interview Damon kept mentioning freedom, and customization. He also revealed that a video will be up on Unreal Engines youtube at some point today, that will include "things". As always, stay tuned to our twitter for up to the minute updates regarding JMF at E3. (((You can listen to the interview with Damon here))) Feel free to discuss other games in the thread, this is a big day for the future of Current gen gaming, not just JMF!
We made it!

Technically, E3 begins tomorrow for the general population. But all the big conferences are today and the showroom is open for employees of all the major companies/media outlets.

MS conference is over and no mention of JM16. Looks like we can probably go ahead and kill the OS rumor. Wish damon would've taken 3 seconds to kill the rumor a while back.

Come on man, how did people not know the OS post was bogus? We all knew that. None of this means JM16 can't be a great game, it just isn't going to be a MS game or have the NFL license.

I would be shocked if the game comes out and is decent. Look at the developer's track record. We all knew the rumor probably wasn't true, but them teasing it kept that sliver of hope alive. I know I'm probably going to get shouted down by the defense force that damon has built up, but I'm extremely turned off by the dishonesty. They needed that rumor to manufacture hype. Look at what it got them... Like 10 dudes following damon's twitter like crazy. That was it. I guess, if you can't stand behind your product, you take what you can get.

I'm not ready to demonize them at all. The one thing I will say is that it was stupid of them to NOT shut down the BS rumors from the beginning. It ended up allowing the youtubers to formulate their own opinions and theories and then they set unreasonable expectations. He should have squashed all of that from the beginning. That wasn't smart. I still think the game can be great, but this just ended up pissing people off. It's a shame, because that may end up causing a lot of people to miss out on a potentially quality product.

If they end up putting out a quality product, I'm all in. I'll eat my crow and buy day one. If you cut out those rumors, then we could've been pleasantly surprised by whatever comes out today. They've put a lot of pressure on themselves today.

They've put a lot of pressure on themselves today. I still believe they have the passion and drive to build what we want. Those of us who stayed grounded and never believed the post or that 2k or the NFL were involved aren't surprised by this. It's a small startup company. They have an opportunity to build a great game and give us something that madden has failed to do for over a decade. I am anxious to see the game in motion. Also, I agree with you. They should have never let that crap get out of hand like it did. It didn't help them at all.

The one thing that was encouraging was the tweet by Mark Rein and Damon Grow confirming he was talking about Montana 16. I see Damon changed his Twitter from Super Secret Sports Company to Superstar Games. I found superstar games website, they're a UK company who have only put out mediocre rated games for ios. Let's hope that this is a US company also named Superstar games, and or new devs added to the team who work on console and/or PC.

Sucks we didn't get any info like we thought we were (and quite frankly told we were) today. However, E3 is far from over, and Damon claims tomorrow is when he'll start doing interviews, so let's wait until E3 is over before we talk about the game not coming out.

Glad that's not the dev house. That would have scared me. E3 has a ways to go, and it really was a stretch to think that Montana was going to be part of the big Microsoft conference. Not that I wasn't hoping and praying, lol. I'm sure we will get a game, I hope it's on Xbox, if not I will buy my first gaming PC if that's the only way to play it.

@pastapadre: Peter Moore just confirmed EA still has the full exclusive license, NFL and NFLPA, for Madden. That a Montana game would be unlicensed.

@pastapadre: Peter Moore just confirmed EA still has the full exclusive license, NFL and NFLPA, for Madden. That a Montana game would be unlicensed. Not a shock. Just needs FULL customization and good gameplay and it could move a million copies. There is such a pent up market fed up with Madden. I am so disappointed in 2k for letting these talentless hacks at Tiburon make their shit year after year unchallenged. Somebody, anybody make a game and show Madden for what is, the football equivalent of NBA Live, which is laughably horrible, total amateur hour.
